Helping out at school is a great way to get involved in your child’s education as well as get to know the staff and other parents and carers.
Research shows that children benefit when their parents or carers are actively involved in their education and school life.
You can help by:
- listening to children read in the classroom
- volunteering on sports days
- helping supervise excursions
- getting involved in fundraising activities
- joining school committees.
At Sussex Inlet Public School we value members of the school and wider community who volunteer in many different roles in the school or canteen.
Sussex Inlet Public school is required to follow departmental guidelines for the safety of our visitors.
All visitors to the school are required to come via the office, sign the visitors book and wear a visitors badge. A Working With Children Check is also required along with an ID check of at least 40 points.
