Helping out at school is a great way to get involved in your child’s education as well as get to know the staff and other parents and carers.
Research shows that children benefit when their parents or carers are actively involved in their education and school life.
You can help by:
- listening to children read in the classroom
- volunteering on sports days
- helping supervise excursions
- getting involved in fundraising activities
- joining school committees.
At Sussex Inlet Public School, we value members of the school and wider community who volunteer in many different roles in the school or canteen.
Sussex Inlet Public School follows departmental guidelines for the safety of our visitors, students and staff. Family members (including stepfamily) and carers are required to fill out a volunteer form at the office. Community members require a Working With Children Check (WWCC) available through ServiceNSW. All visitors to the school are required to come via the office and sign in.
We look forward to welcoming you at Sussex Inlet Public School!
